Memory Foam Tips

Memory Foam Buying Guide in a Nutshell

There are many factors one must consider before purchasing their memory foam, as this is not something that will come cheaply and it will also be an investment you hope will not need to be made again for at least a further 15 years.

So you have been looking around for your memory foam and are a little baffled by all the things you need to consider before you make your purchase of a lifetime, well here is a memory foam buying guide in a nutshell.

You need to consider the density and the depth of your memory foam, check out what the retailer is offering in terms of density, though there is no exact answer to what you will require as everyone is different, do not be misguided that the higher the density, the better the quality this is a misconception for many retailers to over-charge you on the price, most consumers prefer a medium density.

Another important factor is price, with memory foam still an expensive purchase you want to make sure you are getting quality, if the price seems like a dream then it probably is. Though you can get a good price on the market now with many retailers offering memory foam, make sure that they quality check their memory foam and try to avoid non brand names.

Finally, make sure that no matter what and where you are purchasing your memory foam that they can provide a warranty for your purchase and a good retailer will even offer a free trial period, memory foam is great for millions of consumers but there will always be some that will find it not so great for them.

So here it is, your memory foam buying guide in a nutshell, most importantly remember to use your common sense when you are trying to find the best retailer for your memory foam.

5 out of 5 stars The best type of mattress on the market   April 27, 2009

I found this mattress for my mother. The mattress is identical to more expensive memory foam beds and it is at a great price. These are simply the most comfortable type of beds that are sold. After purchasing it, I bought a memory foam topper for my own spring bed; memory foam is so much better than spring mattresses.

As far as the smell goes, the bed that we received had absolutely no smell whatsoever. Not even a faint odor.

5 out of 5 stars I will never go back to spring mattresses   February 12, 2009

After years on spring mattresses, individually wrapped coil mattresses, plush pillow tops, etc & never being totally satisfied, I decided to hop on the memory foam wagon. I was skeptical at first, so I researched the Foamex Company & found nothing but stellar reviews for their products. And they're eco-friendly, such a big plus. After about a month of using this mattress, I just love it & am so happy with it. It's incredibly comfortable & supportive (& affordable!). I cannot recommend this product enough & plan on buying more from the Foamex Company, eventually upgrading to a thicker mattress. Sleep well.

I bought the Memory foam mattress for my grandaughter. She lives in San Francisco and goes to college there. She loves the mattress and said she has never slept on a mattress that was as comfortable as this mattress. It was delivered to her apartment door just a couple days after I ordered it.

5 out of 5 stars Most comfortable mattress   July 27, 2010

We received the queen size as a Christmas gift a couple of years ago. We liked it so much, we purchased 2 of these for our preteen and teen boys. They love them. These mattresses are far more comfortable than the spring mattresses they replaced. My teenager used to wake up with backaches every morning, not anymore.

The foam smell is a little strong but does go away with time. We purchased waterproof, allergy barrier mattress protectors that encase the entire mattress to protect them and the smell was blocked also.

Highly recommend for growing children and anyone who wakes with back pain. Great value at a great price.

great price
good comfort
build quality is adaquate. its two foam pieces glued together and then wrapped in cheesecloth and glued again. whoever wrapped the cheesecloth didnt do a good job sealing it, there are still spots exposed.

you are given a cheap sheet that zips up and covers the bed. it has a plastic feel to it and is very cheaply made. now for the price, i still believe i got a good deal. i just need to go to the store and get some good sheets. the tag on the sheet says the foam bed is made in usa and the sheet is made in china.

the smell, what about the smell? mine hardly smelled at all and after one day, it pretty much subsided. now when you lay on it you can smell it but its faint. so either i lucked out or my nose isnt sensitive. i would recommend this to everyone.
